Walmer south of Deal is Victorian and Edwardian villas with generous frontages, larger back gardens, garages and outbuildings. Kingsdown Road and Liverpool Road are the main routes; South Barracks conservation area (1997) covers the lower stretch. The jobs are usually bigger than Deal town centre - more circuits, more sub-mains, more scope for solar and battery on unshaded south-facing roofs.
